With every single detail in place, even the simplest of designs can create a gorgeous appearance. We were happy to notice that our place cards were featured on the Every Last Detail Blog at the Glamorous Purple and White Wedding at the Vizcaya in Miami. The event was absolutely stunning. With bold bursts of purple and gold, this wedding was every bit as glamorous as it looked. We loved the gorgeous floral arrangements and table settings. And the dessert bar looked amazing. Wine Country Couture Wedding in Destination I Do Magazine {Featured Stationery}

We were ecstatic to see the latest issue of Destination I Do magazine hit newsstands today. Not only is the cover photo breathtaking, but we're featured in it as well! The ever-so-talented Antonia Christianson Events created a beautiful Wine Country inspired event filled with rich colors, beautiful nature-inspired details, and a gorgeous view. This event took place at the stunning Hammer Sky Vineyards in Paso Robles, California. Each table setting was adorned with gorgeous napkins and table runners custom made by Antonia Christianson Events and sequin linen from La Tavola. We had the pleasure of designing the stationery for the event. From the invitations to the place settings and menus to the food tents for the wine and cupcakes, each piece of stationery carried over the rich and earthy colors of the rest of the event. The flowers that adorned the tables were perfectly arranged by Camilla Svennson Burns Couture Floral and Event Design. The use of gorgeous artichokes, peat moss, and rustic foliage created an ambiance like no other. The wine from OneHope Weddings was beautifully displayed and paired perfectly with the delicious cupcakes and cake from the ever-so-talented Cupcakes Couture of Manhattan Beach. Oh-La-La! Bridal Shower {Ideas and Inspiration}

This Oh-la-la bridal shower, designed and coordinated by Intertwined Events, was the definition of classy. From the beautiful creams and tans of the stationery to the gorgeous flower arrangements and table decor. We had so much fun coordinating the stationery to match this bridal shower's theme and absolutely loved seeing it all pulled together. The simple touches on each place setting made the whole table. From the mason jars for water to the dainty tea cups for cupcakes, this bridal shower is one to be remembered. APictureLife Photography captured each moment of this event perfectly and were able to put on film what everyone at the event experienced. From specialty drinks to specialty cupcakes, no detail was left out. This Oh-La-La bridal shower created a perfect theme to celebrate this bride and her upcoming nuptials. Winter Weddings {Envelopments Ideas & Inspiration}

Envelopments comes out with all sorts of wonderful ideas for wedding invitations. And that doesn't stop when the holidays roll out. Here's some information from their blog about the wedding invitation and stationery pictured above:

Yes, you may be tying the knot in the winter season, but that doesn’t mean your invitations need to incorporate snowflakes or use holiday colors. Your wedding day is still about you and your fiancé, not about how many degrees the temperature dropped. In the Adele & Jeremy Featured Sample, seen in the winter edition of The Knot magazine, we decided to fly south for the winter.

The inspiration for this destination wedding is the vibrant colors found in and around Santa Fe, New Mexico. The earthy colors of the landscape and architecture create natural and neutral backdrops to contrast with the red and turquoise found in southwest jewelry.

Escort Cards {DIY Ideas}

There are always fun and interesting ways to display escort cards. Whether you use an actual card or a seating chart you can make this fun for your guests. I personally loved using DIY Wedding's website for my wedding so when I was thinking of ideas on how to display escort cards I went to go look and see what they recommended on their site. And as always, I wasn't disappointed.

I've highlighted a few of Mette's ideas below with pictures and links to DIY tutorials and other ideas that you could use to display your guests names and seating arrangements.

Tent Cards
The simplest way to display your guests names is to use a tent card and arrange them on a table at the entrance of your reception room. Display the cards in alphabetical order or grouped by table.

You can also place an escort card in an envelope (as pictured) and display them on a table as you would a tent card. Using the envelope flap to prop up the card so it's more visible.

Escort Card Tree
This is a great alternative if you're planning on using a thumb print tree as a guest book or have a fall or spring themed wedding. Hang your escort cards from branches on an escort card tree. You can use a paper tree or construct a real tree by using tree branches from your florist or local craft supply store. Use ribbon or string to tie the escort cards to the branches. Check out this great tutorial at the Zella Guide or this one over on Style Me Pretty for more inspiration.

Line Dry
Hang the cards on lines of ribbon. Hold the cards in place with small pegs – a little like you would with laundry. Or you can use ribbon to tie them. Just make sure that your guests can take the card with them easily so they know where they're going.

Frame It
Frame a big seating chart in a large frame or display smaller charts in smaller frames. One seating chart - per table - per frame. I loved the smaller frames featured over on Blog, Shmog. The different colors and sizes of frames and fonts create a unique fun look.

Dry Erase Fun
Avoid printing and simply write your guests names and assigned tables on a large piece of glass (i.e. a big frame). Write with a marker pen made for glass. We stumbled upon a beautiful variation of this type of display over on The Lane. Their use of an old window is fabulous.

Sweet Treat
Attached escort cards to a favor – i.e. a cellophane wrapped cupcake homemade rumball, chocolate or similar. Or make up small bags with your favorite tea or coffee in them. Attach a ribbon and an escort card to them and lay the bags out on a table.

Wrap up medium sized flat chocolate bars in decorative paper and use them as escort cards by adding names and table numbers to them. Or let us design some for you!

Sweets and Desserts Tables {Ideas and Inspiration}

Now I'm sure you've seen a few of the dessert tablescapes we've done stationery for. And while the sweets table at weddings is a pretty popular thing to do, they aren't just for weddings. You can also use a desserts table at your next birthday party, baby shower or other special event. Below are a few ideas on what type of sweets to offer as well as the pros and cons of each sweet:

Cupcake Bar
Now with a cupcake bar you can go two ways. You can have a cupcake tower or display of different already decorated cupcakes that your guests can grab and eat right away. Or you can create a true dessert station by setting out plain, unfrosted cupcakes for your guests to frost and top with whatever flavors and treats you've set out for them to use.

For help with choosing what decorations to use for your cupcakes should you choose to go the decorated route we've found many different sources of inspiration. One simple "ideas for cupcake bar" search lead me to Cupcake Ideas for You's gallery of different cupcakes they've done in the past. They include everything from Super Mario cupcakes to Moulin Rouge inspired cupcakes. A great duo of books to check out if you're really interested in creative cupcake ideas are Hello Cupcake and the newest What's New, Cupcake. There's even a blog that also has inspiring pictures not featured in the books. And, of course, Martha is always a great resource.

Candy Bar
Another very popular favorite sweet to put out for your guests after cupcakes is candy. All sorts of candy. You can use wrapped candy to fill up bags and buckets or you can use unwrapped goodies as well. You could even offer personalized candy bars to guests as a take home gift like the ones Rachel Ray has on her magazine's website. She even lets you download and personalize a few for free!

If you use unwrapped candy (or wrapped candy as well) be sure to include scoops, tongs, spoons or other utensils to help your guests get the candy from the bowl or serving dish to their bag or plate. Some guests might not like to see others put their hands all over the candy they were just about to enjoy. Although we know that it's more than inevitable at a children's party.

Cookie Bar
Cookies are a great sweet treat. They're portable, tasty and very versatile. Choosing 3-4 different recipes and displaying them on different trays and plates will easily attract guests over for a nibble. A few great, hearty cookie recipes that won't fall apart in your guests hands are:

Chocolate Chip Cookies - or any variation (including oatmeal, raisins, macadamia nuts etc)
Sugar Cookies - with or without frosting
Peanut Butter cookies - but label clearly in case of allergies

Assorted Sweet Treats
And if you want to combine a few different sweets at one table please feel free to do so! I don't think I've ever heard a party guest complain about too many desserts!

You can utilize the sweets tables in two ways, first to serve as dessert for your guests and second to serve as favors for your guests to take home. I like giving the option to do both by having packaging available for each guest to choose their option. Include a small bag or box for your guests to take a few treats home with them. If you'd like you can already package them up and include a favor tag with ribbon to tie the packages shut. Place them close to the entrance or exit of the party so guests don't forget to take them!
