Calling Cards {Ideas and Information}

Do you find yourself writing your number or email address down multiple times when you’re out and about?

Whether it’s exchanging info with another parent or at a networking event, sometimes writing down the same information over and over is, well, annoying. In our daily lives we come to meet and learn about many different people and opportunities. Why not be ready with an information card in case it’s needed?

A new trend among college students is to create a contact card specifically for handing out at events such as banquets and fairs where major corporations and businesses will be on hand to talk and network. The card contains not only their contact information but the school they attend and their major. That way potential employers have more than just a number to contact in case of a job opportunity.

Some kids have part-time jobs around campus and interact with other kids who might not be students of that university. An easy way to connect is to exchange information in the form of a card.

And as we’ve shared on the blog before, an easy way for new mothers to meet up and plan playdates is to exchange playgroup cards and playdate cards with the child’s name and the mother’s information.

While it sounds kinda crazy to have a calling card for your kid, it is pretty convenient! Much better than writing down the information on whatever scrap piece of paper you have in your purse or wallet.
